IQNA – The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has designated the location where the body of its former secretary general will be buried.

Former Hezbollah secretary general Sayed Hassan Nasrallah

According to Middle East News, sources in Hezbollah have revealed the place where Sayed Hassan Nasrallah is going to be buried.

They said that based on a decision made by Hezbollah’s officials, the body of Nasrallah will be buried in a plot of land on the old road leading to the Rafik Hariri International Airport.

The site is set to become a place of pilgrimage, the sources said.

They also noted that preparations are underway for a joint funeral ceremony for Nasrallah and Sayed Hashem Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council.

According to his wishes, Safieddine’s body will be buried in his hometown, in the village of Deir Qanoun near Tyre.

The sources also said investigations into the pager explosions that led to the martyrdom of a number of Hezbollah members will continue until the truth is revealed and those responsible for supplying the devices are identified.

Nasrallah was martyred in a massive airstrike that Israel launched on southern Beirut on September 27 using American-supplied bunker-buster bombs.
